Tall-Head Adventures FAQ

What the hell is going on here?
You remember those old adventure games of old? Where you would type in commands and your character (either graphical or text-based) would do what you ask? Well, here we have a sort of live version of that! Leave comments for the most current part of the game (right here) and I will choose one and put together a screen (or series of screens) to show what happens!

Well, what's so great about that?
One thing that has always annoyed me about adventure games is that we are restricted to whatever the original developers put in the game. We have to think the way the developer thought, which is restrictive. Here, the game is created as you give commands, so anything goes!

Wait, anything?
Yep! You can concentrate on trying to solve the puzzles, or you can command our hero to do a dance. Or put ketchup on his face for no reason. Or throw essential inventory items down a bottomless pit! Because I am here getting your commands, I can build the game as you like it. Very organic, like.

I fully encourage you guys to think outside of the box and solve puzzles (or just futz around) in odd and interesting ways, because anything is possible.

Are these puzzle thought out before-hand?
Some are, but because the game is largely molded by the user, may puzzles and situations are thought up on the fly. Keep an eye out for puzzle solutions I have laid out, but also feel free to make up solutions that occur to you.

Why do you never choose my suggestions?
For the time being I have chosen to only pick one suggestion from each post. This means that, though there may be many awesome suggestions, I can only choose one. So I would say, keep submitting! I am bound to pick one of yours at some point!

By the way, I am thinking of changing that rule (which is to say, choose two or more suggestions from a single post and put them all up at them same time), both in an effort to move the game along faster, and to allow myself to choose multiple awesome suggestions at once, if any. We shall see!

Isn't this just a ripoff of MS Paint Adventures?
Yeah, pretty much. I tried to mix things up a little bit to separate myself for that, but really, Andrew did pretty much everything right the first time. Of course, my art and humor style is different, so the two projects are not identical.

Who is behind this whole thing, anyway?
Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Jam Torkberg ([info]jamtorkberg), cartoonist and animator. Pleased to meet you!
